Klean Kanteen Stainless Steel Bottle

Surprisingly light, Klean Kanteen bottles provide clean tasting, toxin free storage for your favorite beverage while on the trail, river or just around town. Klean Kanteens are made of food grade stainless steel that is easy to clean, durable, inert and sanitary. The handy loop top allows you to secure the bottle to your pack.

Although Klean Kanteens look similar to a thermos-they are not. These bottles are single walled and will transfer heat rapidly. Do not pour hot liquids in your Kanteen without some type of insulating grip or you’ll burn your hand. This feature also allows you to put the bottle on a flame to boil water, (remove the cap first) an important feature if you need to purify water for drinking. However, they are not recommended for routine use over a flame.

You can clean your bottle in a dishwasher, by hand washing or with an old favorite, white vineger and baking soda. Do not put the caps in the dishwasher however, water can squeeze itself into the cap.
