The Esbit Pocket Stove is a remarkably simple and utterly dependable item. The small stove is unfolded and placed on a level, non-flammable surface. A fuel cube is positioned on the base plate, your metal cup or pot is then placed on the uprights. The fuel cube is lit with a match or lighter and will burn 12-15 minutes.
We suggest including a piece of aluminum foil with the stove, large enough to fashion a wind screen if the weather turns windy. With any open stove, wind will dissipate heat and increase cooking times.
