The SolHuma Vital Stove is a unique and surprisingly practical stove that uses most any dry biological material for fuel. This sturdy little stove generates up to 20,000 BTUs of heat using twigs, leaves, paper, cardboard, straw or other naturally derived material. The Vital Stove uses a battery powered fan (2 AAs) to force air into the combustion chamber. This results in remarkable heat output and thoroughly burns the fuel leaving very little ash or residue.
Since it doesn’t require toxic fuel the Vital Stove can be transported freely and prevents out of the way stops to acquire fuel in remote areas. Operation is very intuitive. Just slide out the stainless steel thermal shield from its storage position and place over the base of the stove. Plug in the battery pack and add some tinder and fuel. The stove usually lights with just one match and will burn until the fuel is consumed. An adjustable air shutter lets you control the intensity of heat and the rate of fuel consumption. The four corner pot supports rotate to accommodate both small and large pot sizes.
It's ideal for backcountry cabins and lodges, humanitarian relief groups, home preparedness, guides, and base camping. At 1.5 lbs., it may seem little heavy for most backpackers, but it’s worth remembering that this stove doesn’t require carrying additional fuel. This stout little stove is can support up to 50 lbs. and is built with exceptional durability. The battery life is rated at 35 – 40 hours and the stove can produces temperatures up to 1200° F.
Because the Vital stove uses naturally available fuel, you never have to worry about running out and is environmentally friendly. No metal bottles or canisters and no toxic liquids are necessary. The Vital Stove is an ideal way to make sure that you’ll always be able to cook and purify water regardless of your situation.
