Type 1 Paracord Mil-C-5040

Type 1 parachute cord is a miniature version of the familiar 550 paracord. It's made of the same materials but in a more compact size and a tensile strength of 100 pounds. Just like Type 3-550 cord, Type 1 has a braided outer sheath with five individual strands inside. And like our 550 cord, we only offer certified Mil-C-5040 Type 1 cord manufactured to military specifications. Our 550 cord is tested and certified for military use, not to commercial use which tends to be less exacting.

This is the perfect cord to include in your survival kit or for general use in your backpack home or boat.
