Katadyn Micropur Water Purifier Tablets

Micropur water purification tablets offer a reliable way way to disinfect water while hiking, camping or traveling abroad, when used as directed. Each tablet treats one liter and actually improves the taste and odor of the water. The easy-to-use tablets are effective against viruses, bacteria and other pathogens such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium.

Micropur MP 1 Tablets work by releasing chlorine dioxide in the water, a method that leaves no unpleasant aftertaste and is effective on Cryptosporidium when used as directed. 

To use, remove the tablet from the foil using a knife or scissors and quickly place it in 1 liter of contaminated water. Allow to react for 4 hours in an opaque container or in a dark location. This will generate a solution of 4 ppm chlorine dioxide, disinfecting the water. Filtering out particulates before treating yields more palatable water.
