Potable Aqua with PA Plus has long been used by backpackers and hikers to treat backcountry water with these iodine based germicidal tablets. The PA Plus helps neutralize the taste of treated water. Iodine tablets make most water bacteriologically suitable for drinking. They are not effective against cryptosporidium.
Each bottle contains 50 tablets, enough for 25 quarts of water. Unopened bottles have a maximum shelf life of 4 years and opened bottles have a life of 1 year. A 30 minute treatment time is required before drinking water.
