The Pocket Microfilter has a one liter per minute flow rate and up to a 13,000 gallon capacity depending on source water quality. The silvered ceramic filter resists bacterial growth and is easy to clean. Two cleaning pads are included. The Pocket filter meets EPA purifier standards for bacteria and protozoa. For total protection against viruses, you can disinfect the filtered water with Katadyn Micropur tablets. At 20 oz., it's a little heavier than most due to its robust metal construction and ceramic element. It is, however, quite likely the most rugged filter available.
