MSR MiniWorks EX Microfilter

The MSR MiniWorks EX is the best selling microfilter on the outdoor market. Part of MSR’s Longevity series of filters, the MiniWorks has a long lasting ceramic filter element, is fully field maintainable without tools and is lightweight and compact. An innovative air spring accumulator allows the filter to produce one liter of treated water per minute.

The filter element is a .2 micron, ceramic element built for long use and repeated cleanings. It is effective against Giardia, Cryptosporidium, protozoa, particulate and bacteria. In addition, a carbon core removes unpleasant tastes and odors. You’ll want to add MSR Purifier Solution, or other chlorine based disinfectant for protection against viruses. 

The filter life is rated for up to 2000 liters, depending on the condition of the water being filtered. If the filter becomes clogged, simply use the included pad to gently scrub the surface of the element and restore flow. Also included in the kit is an indicator gauge to let you know when filter replacement is recommended, a stuff sack and hose float. The MiniWorks adapter base allows you to screw the filter directly onto wide-mouth Nalgene bottles and all MSR Hydration Bags.
