IMPROVISATION AND PRACTICE
One skill that will prove useful in a survival situation and life in general is improvisation. Try to see things for what they can become, not just for what they are.

Some basic rules of improvisation are:

As you watch this video, remember that you may be called upon to use the skills you will learn and the contents of your survival kit. Make sure that the first time you try these things is not when your life depends upon it. Practice meeting your needs with the contents of your survival kit and be certain that you are able to complete the tasks of survival with a minimal amount of time, effort and equipment. Often those in survival situations are not in top physical or mental condition and can’t afford to waste the limited resources that are available to them by “figuring it out” when their life may be at stake.
