The Team Leader is a totally new fixed-blade knife from SOG. The SOG Team Leader is available with your choice of two types of steel, AUS 8 steel and Duratech 20CV. Both are extremely capable knives, designed for hard use in the backcountry. AUS 8 is a quality stainless steel, one that SOG as well as other premium knife makers turn to frequently for outdoor and tactical knives. Duratech 20CV is a specially formulated stainless steel that incorporates a large volume of extremely hard vanadium carbides and a high amount of chromium. The result is a blade that has high corrosion resistance, high wear resistance and excellent impact toughness.

Made of an exotic steel called Duratech 20CV, the Team Leader is about as fine an all-around knife as you'll find. Its 5-inch blade takes a savage edge, holds it extremely well, resharpens easily, and doesn't rust. The Zytel handle should be sent around to the industry with a note saying, "Here's how you do it." All told, it's an absolutely terrific knife.
Regardless of the version that you chose, you'll find the Team Leader to be a great all-purpose knife for the outdoors. Ridges along the finger grooves along with the shape of the handle provide a comfortable, firm grip in any weather. An oversize lanyard hole is located at the top of the handle and is large enough to accommodate a snap or carabiner.
The streamlined blade design works well for most any task that you would normally face in the field, from splitting wood to make a fire to preparing dinner. The Team Leader has a full length tang with textured Zytel slabs. A knife with great balance and poise, you'll find the Team Leader from SOG to be a practical and indispensable tool for the outdoors.
